The incandescent light bulb is the most common of all the bulbs. This type of bulb is used practically for every type of lighting. The incandescent bulb is filled either with argon, krypton, xenon or halogen. Each of these fillers will determine how brightly the bulb shines. High-Intensity Discharge (HID) light bulb is not so common in flashlights, but it is available none the less. A HID gas light bulb has a mixture of metal halide salts and argon as a filler. The most common power source for rechargeable flashlights is the secondary rechargeable lead acid batteries, NiMH, NiCd batteries and lithium ion batteries.   1. Capacitor

The other source of power for a flashlight is the capacitor. There are indeed models of rechargeable flashlights that use a supercapacitor to store energy. A supercapacitor is a high-capacity electrochemical capacitor that bridges the gap between electrolytic capacitors and rechargeable batteries. The advantage of this power source is that it is recharges more rapidly than a battery and it does not lose capacitor no matter how many times it is recharged.
